Today I start one of the best phases of writing a novel: I open a blank document and type the first words. I’ve done my preliminary research and outlining, and I know my characters as well as I’m going to know them until we spend more time together in Omphalos.
I see the city, mapped out and sitting quietly on my desk, waiting for its citizens to fill its streets and consecrate their hands with its earth.
Time to flip that switch.

I’m excited just reading about it. Much luck to you!
It will be awesome. Yup. I’m pretty sure of that.
Enjoy!
ooooo my stomach just dropped for you :) it’s SO exciting to do that!!!
I know I keep saying this, but I am SO excited about this book!
Good luck! I always feel the same way (excited, anticipatory), though sometimes I find that after two paragraphs of brilliance, everything begins to sag, and the light bulb of my inspired brilliance flickers off. But hopefully, you’ll be successful!
Any chance you’ll reveal those first few words? What’s got you so revved up?
Nothing better than that blank page looking back at you, and then the adreneline kicks in.
Ooh, enjoy.
I adore the start of a brand new draft…happy writing! :-)
